Concord High School-April 2008- (the Continuation kids) The ones that were interested could've benefited more ... sadly mad eme realize how screwed up the school system is... We're giving our brightest minds to the stupidest people...and I mean the principals just as much as the teachers. They doubled up the classes, so two classes scrunched together in those portable type classrooms... I strained my voice, and have to say it was the worst experience I've had in over ten years of lecturing (the second class was fine) but the kids are rebelling against ANYTHING!My days of free lectures are sadly over...

Chabot Space and Science Center-Teacher's workshop April 2008 (filmed 90 Minutes for Science Is Golden TV SHow)

(updates coming soon..for 2002 to 2009...)

Summer 2002- FOTO Friends of the Observatory Cincinnati OH- Successfully gave the Neutron Bunny talk for the amateur astronomers (and some not so amateurs that taught me a thing or two!)

January 2002 In Honor of a high school teacher that was killed in a car accident after waiting 6 years of teaching Biology to finally teach Chemistry. I could tell by her picture on the local Cincinnati news that she was a great teacher! So on a very icy morning I pulled the STARCAR behind the BIG BANG RV up to Oxford Ohio and was a lone camper at the Houston Woods State Park (even water pipes were frozen!). The next day I drove the STARCAR into town at 6:02 AM got coffees and went to present three 90 minute lectures and giving away the Fun Folding Periodic Tables to the students. It was too cold to put toys on the trunk so I brought all the gyroscopes and magnets inside but the kids wanted to see my mom's old car (I was worried they may get upset at a 'car', but the kids were definitely cheered up, it literally was in single digits that morning!)

07 NOV 2001- Oakland Tech High School, West Side of Oakland California WHERE IT ALL STARTED in 1996! These kids are great and were when I first did THREE DAYS of presentations of 6 and 7 classes a day. I tried my techniques of the Folding Periodic Table, and definitely embellished the Mickey MOLE Story. They let me know what was hot (and NOT!) A couple of doubled up classes in small rooms made it difficult at times, but the more the better! (About a 300 periodic table day! Gave away about 400 in 1996), also STARCAR PARTY Afterward.

NOV 2001-Nat. Chem. Week-(Marie Curie AND Lise Meitner's Birthday, also a day after Darleane Hoffman's) at the KING MIDDLE SCHOOL SCIENCE NIGHT-Berkeley, CA-Where it sprinkled but the STARCAR was in Berkeley that week! Had a few physics toys broken (even a gyroscope stolen, without the right kind of string which was left behind won't even work!) I did my first STAND-UP ChemEDian ACT twice to a few laughs. (I later presented it at the American Chemical Society's ChemED division in Orlando Florida on APRIL 8th 2002)

On 10/23 (OCT 2001) the Mc'e- and Me-Me-MOLE Birthday lecture was given with the STARCAR at a Middle School, Los Alamos, CALIFORNIA near Vandenberg AFB. (no, not in New Mexico). The 6, 7, and 8th grades were great but the 4th graders I found don't like to fold...See PRESS (About 150 periodic table day)
